Coolroom & Freezer Room Repairs
Walk-in coolrooms and freezer rooms fail in a handful of recognisable ways: the room drifts above temperature, ice builds up on the evaporator, a defrost cycle stops working, a fan or fan motor fails, a compressor struggles to start or cuts out, a sensor or controller reads wrongly, or a blocked drain puts water on the floor.
Some of these look alike from the doorway and have different causes, which is what a site inspection is for.
What we check
- Room and product temperatures against what the controller is reporting
- Evaporator and condenser fans, coils and airflow
- Defrost operation, heaters and termination
- Compressor and start components
- Temperature sensors and controller settings
- Drains and drainage falls
- Door seals and closers, which quietly cause a lot of icing
How the repair is agreed
We inspect the room and the plant, identify the likely cause, and explain what the repair involves before doing it. Where a part is needed we say so, and where something is a symptom of a larger problem we say that too.
Suspected refrigerant leaks are handled as part of diagnosis — what is found and what it means for the repair is explained before any substantial work.
